Today, February 25th, we interviewed some teenagers in St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin.
We asked them about fashion: whether they agreed or not with our statement “fashion is very important nowadays”, we asked them about the shops they liked, the kind of clothes they looked for in a shop and if they preferred today’s fashion or the one’s of the past.

Here are their opinions:
We interviewed three 20-year-old girls from Dublin and we realized that teenagers follow fashion more on social media than in real life, in fact they all take inspiration from instagram and they don’t follow catwalks or the Fashion Week.
We learnt that Zara, H&M, Penney’s, Vintage shops and Second Handed shops are their favorite destination when they’re shopping, so teenagers prefer cheaper shops and don’t actually care about the brand. They all agreed with each other as they all said they liked 80’s and 90’s fashion as much as today’s fashion, because they said that it takes their inspiration from past years.
Then we asked “what kind of clothes catch your attention when you enter in a shop?”, and their answers were different.
Some of the teenagers like colourful clothes. Most of them aren’t dresses or skirts kind of people because Ireland is very cold. Others prefer sporty clothes like pattern trousers, jumpers or sweaters. We also learnt that some of them like unusual clothes, clothes of flares and puffy sleeves. They take inspiration from people on the street and their decision also depends on what are the trends at the moment.
