MILAN FASHION WEEK SUSPENDED BECAUSE OF CORONAVIRUS

Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana have revealed that some brands decided to continue their shows behind closed doors, while others decided to cancel them.

CNMI announced the cancelation of the event “Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana e Camera Buyer Italia-Fashion Hub Awarding Event” and the event “Fashion Hub and Emerging Designers Market Day”. CNMI also shows its support and solidarity to the affected people.

The shows of Atsushi Nakashima and Alexandra Moura are canceled following the dispositions of the Italian Ministry of Health and President of the Lombardy Regional Government.

Giorgio Armani decided not to cancel its runaway but instead he held it behind closed doors to show how much work is behind the Milan Fashion Week by putting together 12 Chinese models in dresses “QiPao all’Armani”, inspired by the land of the dragon.

The situation in Milan has gotten worse. Schools, universities and public places such as gyms, theatres, museums and cinemas will be closed for the whole week.

Everyone is panicking, the supermarkets are empty, there’s no one around the city, people are staying at home. Masks and disinfectants are sold out in every pharmacy or they’re being sold at crazy prices.
